3/1/2021 - Inaugural season has had many highlights so far

Sentry CEO tours the club

Sentry CEO Pete McPartland was given a tour of the Sentry Curling Center, home of the Stevens Point Curling Club, in late January. We are so grateful for Sentry's support and look forward to seeing Pete and other Sentry folks in the near future. 

Club hosts national wheelchair team

The club has been grateful to host the U.S. National Wheelchair Curling Team for multiple camps in 2021. Club members have given their time to play valuable games against the team as they prepare for a qualifying event this spring where they hope to earn a spot in the 2021 World Wheelchair Curling Championship. 
The club was thrilled to provide a safe and fun location for the 2021 Wisconsin State Curling High School Championships. Even better was seeing our teams compete. A huge congrats to our teams (and their coaches!) for a successful season.

So many people have pitched in to make the curling club's first season a great one. Our volunteers are setting the bar high. Special shoutout to Casey Konopacky for refurbishing all of the club brooms and to Emily Weiss (and her mom!) for making the upstairs pews much more comfortable!

Run for a seat on the BOD

Want to give back to the club in a leadership role? We are currently seeking nominations for the Board of Directors. The club will also be forming a Membership Committee. More details about the committee and how you can join will be announced soon.

Cleaning crew needed

Thank you to everyone who has pitched in to keep the club clean. To sign your league team up for a weekend cleaning shift, go to the calendar hanging on the bulletin board and pick out a Saturday or Sunday to clean. A cleaning check list can be found on the kitchen counter.
