Moving in, moving out

Below is important information for all club members on the coordination of our move to the new facility. There are many opportunities for in-person and help-from-home to help with organizing the contents of our club, memorializing, and saving our club history. If you can pitch-in a few hours this month, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lori Kawleski is helping us coordinate the volunteers and can be reached at 715-630-0996 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Remove all your personal contents from the old club before November 6th  or contact Lori Kawleski to make other arrangements.

Do you have packing boxes or plastic totes that the club may use?  Please drop them off at the old club on the backboards near the glass.  Totes that are clearly labeled will be returned after the move,

Step 3:  ORGANIZE CONTENTS, VOLUNTEER HELP and SCHEDULE (completion date 11/18/2020)
Many hands will make the work lighter, but need to be coordinated so that the work is getting done. We will be organizing in the following groups to determine what we will: KEEP, SELL, DONATE or TOSS. We will then Pack for transport and Label for movers the location to deliver in the new club.
                    Storage Closet and Loft
                    Womens' Locker Room/Storage and Bathrooms
                    Toolroom and Compressor Room
                    Icehouse and Storage Room
                    Clubhouse and Bar
                    Large Locker Room and Storage

Volunteer a few hours in one or more of the areas by contacting Lori Kawleski at 715-630-0996 or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Step 5:  LOADING IN, after 11/22/2020
Do you have strong feelings about how the equipment should be stored at the new facility? This may be your role.  We will need people to unpack the boxes and totes. Let Lori Kawleski know if you have an interest.
Step 6:  Sell, Donate or Toss, before 12/31/2020
We need to be completely out of the old club by the end of 2020.  All items left behind the move will either be sold online, donated to charity or thrown away.  If you have experience selling items online and would be interested in helping the club earn a little cash, please contact a member of the SPCC Board of Directors.

Historians Needed (work from home)
Now you may be saying to yourself, I just can't do any group activity during this crazy year of COVID, but I would still like to help. We are looking for individuals who can work at home to help us identify people in photographs from past curling seasons, organize, plan displays and store photos and memorabilia. Once identified we also need people who can scan photos and save to an electronic archive. If either of these is more your cup of tea, then contact Lori Kawleski (This email address is being protected from spambots. Licensed bartenders needed!

As we transition to the new curling club this winter we have an increased need for licensed bartenders. This is the perfect opportunity to find a new way to volunteer your time while serving up some tasty brews and listening to tall tales told during broomstacking.

You can begin the licensing process by downloading a copy of the application here or by visiting the Village of Plover website here.

League registration for the 2020-21 season is now open! Click here to find out more about leagues and to complete the online registration.

Please note: Friday night will continue to be a blend of traditional curling AND mixed doubles. Sign up and check it out!
