The Stevens Point Curling Club enriches our community by promoting the Olympic sport of curling to residents of all ages and abilities. What is curling?
What do I have to bring or wear?
All the equipment you need will be provided! We ask that you wear comfortable athletic clothes that don't shed fuzzy debris or restrict movement. You may want to consider wearing a hat and gloves because the ice house is a little chilly. Please bring a clean pair of tennis shoes that are free from dirt or salt (we recommend carrying in this pair to not pick up anything on your way to the ice!) - this helps us keep our ice clean.
How long will it take?
There will be a short off-ice instruction to introduce the game typically around fifteen minutes.
On ice instruction typically takes around an hour, there will be beverages available to purchase after.
Who can come?
Anyone 6+
What if I have bad knees, hips, or back?
Stick curling may be for you! No need to be flexible, this sport is very adaptable and offers something for all abilities!
